Description
Albino Koi Guppy — The Koi Pond Look, in Miniature
Inspired by the famous koi carp, the Albino Koi Guppy shows a soft, pale body decorated with red and orange color across the face, fins and tail. The albino gene gives it bright red eyes, which adds to its clean, elegant and slightly exotic appearance.
The contrast of red on white looks especially beautiful against dark substrate and green plants. A small group of these guppies can make even a compact tank feel like a living koi pond, full of gentle movement and color.
Albino Koi guppies are peaceful and gentle. Because albino fish can be a little more sensitive to very strong light, a tank with some plants, floating cover or shaded areas helps them feel relaxed and show their best color. They mix well with other calm community fish.
They breed readily like other guppies. To keep the true albino koi look in the next generation, it is best to breed them with other Albino Koi rather than mixing them with different strains.
